My Hands-On Penn Fishing Experience
My experience with Penn fishing reels, started out in the Gulf Stream off West Palm Beach Florida with upwards to a 160 pound Atlantic Sailfish! All of the ‘big sails’ were being pulled in, with Penn reels only. Understandably, this is saltwater and has nothing to do with Penn fishing reels for freshwater. But I just want to give a backbone to the review of one of the best fishing reel manufacturing companies I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with (in both salt and freshwater).
My appreciation for Penn fishing reels started out on the rough and tumble waters of the Atlantic Ocean. That initial experience evolved into a deeper appreciation for all things Penn. I have never had a negative experience with any of the Penn fishing reels while doing battle with dozens of species of freshwater fish in North America.
