Stillhouse Hollow located just a little south-west of Belton, Texas is not a large lake, but has some great fishing. Stillhouse covers 6,430 surface acres and offers all 4 types of structure that you can find in Texas.
The lake has low-land type long sloping, sandy banks, along with deep cavernous walls that resemble Lake Travis. The river area has all of the timber that you need to pitch to. And around the mid-lake island there are hydrilla beds where the current lake record was pulled from.
In my opinion, Stillhouse Hollow offers some of the best Smallmouth bass fishing in Central Texas. There are several areas on the lake that these bronze beauties can be found. If you have never caught a smallmouth bass, this is a thrill and fight you won’t soon forget. It doesn’t take a monster smallmouth to put your gear to the test!
